Everything Has A Season...
Ec:3:1: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ec:3:2: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
Ec:3:4: A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
Ec:3:5: A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
I was in church one Sunday and someone was talking and said some-
thing like "There is a season for everything. There is even a season
for miracles." This is something many of us forget. When we pray,
we want our miracle and we want it now. And when we don't get what
we want when we want it, we say, "Well, God didn't answer that
prayer."
But God may simply be answering that prayer in his own way and
his own time. My mother used to say, "God's clock keeps perfect
time, but according to our watch it's a little slow." But if there
is a time for every thing, then there is a season for miracles.
One of the advantages of reaching middle age and beyond is the
blessing of hindsight. As I look over my life, I see times when
I prayed for miracles and times when the miracles came. The miracles
always came at the right time. If they had come earlier, then
I would not have benefited a much from them.
There are times in our lives when we feel like heaven is shut up
from us. We feel like we are crying to a grand nothingness. We
feel like our prayers are so many empty words. But, I'm here to
tell you today, that God always answers your prayers, in due season.
Part of that answer is His timing. God may have to work things out
in your life or in the lives of those around you before he can give
you your miracle.
So, if miracles haven't started emerging the way you want them
to in your life, don't lose faith. God is still on the throne
and your season of miracles will be here before you know it.
