Welcome to my little part of the world wide web...
Grab a cup of tea or coffee, sit a spell and visit my favorite places in cyberspace.

We live in a beautiful unspoiled area of NC Florida. Surrounded by woods and God's beauty with birds singing, squirrels playing, raccoons visiting and stealing the food of the numerous dogs and cats that have arrived and taken up residency. We enjoy the simply life which includes riding our motorcycle and our bicycles. A short distance to the Suwannee River or the Gulf of Mexico allows us to enjoy nature at its best.
I am a retired medical transcriptionist/legal secretary/office manager. Retirement allows me to enjoy my hobbies of quilting and knitting.
Watch for my gallery which will appear here, to see some of my favorite quilts. The Underground Railroad Quilts, Military Appreciation quilts, Yellow Brick Road, Floating Stars, Trip Around The World, Log Cabin, 9-patch, just a few that I've pieced in recent months.
I enjoy both patchwork and applique. I don't paper-piece and at this point in time I have no desire to learn. I am enjoying piecing my quilts on my vintage sewing machine, a c1930 Raico. This machine was rescued from the walls of a church in Nebraska that was being torn down. Her name is Glory and her stitches are beautiful. I find quilts to be both relaxing and a learning experience. Frustrating at times but the end results are spectacular. Each one has it's own personality.
I am a Manatee Watch Volunteer for the Florida Park Service and the Save The Manatee Club. I enjoy it very much in spite of the sometimes unpleasant opposition.
I am also a proud member of the Red Hat Society...
