Words For My Mother
Dear Mom,
I have written thousands of words, in hopes of finding the right words. I just don’t think it’s possible.
When someone is taken from your life, you think of all the things you wish you would have told them.
I’m grateful that we had an open relationship that allowed us the opportunity to be blunt and honest with each other, while cherishing each other with a unconditional love.
Your life took you on a lot of different journeys, but even after all the bumps in the road, and the trying times of trials and tribulations, somehow you always seemed to prevail.
I admired that strength, but have never been able to grasp it myself. You showed me that no matter how many times life challenged you and knocked you down, you always found your way back up to your feet.
From the time I was a little boy. I have always kept you on your toes. From all the headaches I caused, to all the sleepless nights.
You were always the one who fought for me and stood by my side.. In your eyes I could do no wrong, because I was the baby boy.
And you were my Mother
You allowed me to experience many different aspects of life. Some good, some bad, but regardless each and everyone was a learning experience that shadows and carries me through each and every day.
To the woman who gave me life, this is an opportunity to stand tall and salute you.
I was born your last child, but not your only. I feel that being the only boy gave me both of us a different outlook and different aspect of what life had to offer.
I still haven’t told you goodbye, because to me your not gone, just on another journey.
You will live forever in my heart, and I feel you are continuously watching over me until the day we are together again.
I miss your voice, your smile and the eyes that scorned me when I did wrong. To sum it up…
Mom …I miss you and I will always love you..
Jerry....
Thank you Jerry..
Your Mother was so proud of you and loved you very much..
She spoke of you almost daily..
