[FIXED] Whirlpool Refrigerator Water Dispenser Problem
I have a Whirlpool model ED22TWXDW00 side-by-side refrigerator. The water dispenser stopped working years ago, but we did not really use it that much so it didn't matter then. Now, however, the dispenser outlet is leaking alot even though it is not pressed. The ice maker is working fine. Does this model have a water filter? If so. I cannot find it. If there is no filter, does the problem sound like its being caused by the inlet valve or a switch at the dispenser? Probably Steve, if you have an ohm meter you can check it. What happens sometimes is the coil gets hot and swells and can't pull the plunger up. Then water starts to leak past the rubber diaphragm. Replacing the water valve will stop the leak. If it still doesn't work let us know and we'll get it fixed. Check your water lines while you're back there changing the valve. Some of those older refrigerators used a plastic line that gets brittle from the heat....
