don't buy
The black plastic handle broke off after 2 years of use by 2 people.Also the unit builds up pressure and hisses and steams and shoots out hot water. I was told to turn the temp. down to solve this problem but then the water is not hot enough. -
Thank goodness for a compact unit
Much has been said about the fact that this unit has a short life span. Ours lasted 5 years - most people get 3 to 4 years. One essential tip - use a screw driver to turn down the water temp. The adjustment is right on the front of the unit. Most units are set way too high and the water...
how can i fix this? when i press the button cold water comes up, and the switches in the back are turned on.
Check for a reset button, also make sure that outlet is getting power to it. If those two things are checked out and you still don't have hot water, I'd say you're screwed because those tanks generally aren't repairable and a replacement is pricey.

The cooler is working fine but the cold water is not working. It comes out room temperature. What do I do?
Ask a plumber to look at it. Maybe the hoses are not connected properly, and make sure the inline water pressure is good and pre-filterd. Contact the manufacturers of this product and ask questions.

UPDATE: Here's something else I wanted to add. Unlike other water coolers, this one does not run constantly cold or hot. If you have the cold switch on, it will keep recooling the water in cycles (you'll see the cold water light go on every 20-30 mins or after use). Same with hot water. If you have the switch on, it will reheat the water in cycles (every 20-30 mins or after use). Another minor annoyance (-.5 stars), but again, it's tolerable. Keep clean, refreshing drinking water readily available throughout the day with this two-piece freestanding water dispenser, which converts from a full-size to a tabletop unit by simply removing the base.
