Did the Job
Plugged the unit in a few weeks after I purchased it. I was heading down to VA. for a reunuion (8 hr. trip). Set it up facing "backwards" so the kids could make use of the cup holders from the middle seats of the minivan. The unit cooled quickly and kept the sodas, cheese and veggies cool... -
It Works
The only drawback to this unit is that if you start out with warm items that you want to cool, you need to be very patient. Stock it with cold items and it will keep them cold.

my grandfather is in his 90's. He has trouble recalling things. My uncle lives next door and he get's his ss check every month. Well i have learned that he has been using it for his personal use.
There is indeed legal action you should take. Here in California, the crime is called Elder Abuse, and it is punishable in all the same ways that child abuse is. Call the police.

One week into St. Thomas's new smart meter system and at least a few residents are coming up with smarter ways to circumvent potential time-of-use price hikes for hydro.
"We (my family) try to stick to the schedule but it's kind of hard during the day when you have kids. You need your hydro for your kids so it's hard to save things for the night when its cheaper....They (the kids) all go and turn on the lights anyway," townhouse renter Ashley Phillips said.
To partially side-step time-of-use restrictions, friends advised Phillips to switch to energy-efficient light bulbs, scrap old appliances and charge phones and laptops during off-peak hours to drive down costs.
"What do you need an electric can-opener for? Use your hand," Phillips adds.
Newer appliances typically use less energy than older ones and making changes like cooking more than one dish in the oven at a time and only doing full loads of laundry as opposed to more, smaller loads can also help keep bills down. Leaving things on standby mode such as DVD players and computers also takes energy, so turning them off completely when not in use also helps conserve power.
