My mini refrigerator keeps shutting off on its on. If i fiddle with the thermostat it will switch back on, but after a few minutes up to an hour it will stop working on its own.
If you fiddle with the thermostat and the fridge works for about hour, your thermostat may have partial or poor contact, i suggest replacing your thermostat, if your appliance is less than a year, contact the manufacturer tech support for repair, hope this help, good luck.

It does sound like the thermostat. Try a Frigidaire hotline phone number. They may be able to help. If you still have the warranty and installation papers, that would be a help. If not, you may find them online.

Utility says device saves little electricity
When the Springfield Utility Board got a call from a customer who had been approached about a business opportunity — selling devices he was told would cut power usage in a home or business — the utility sent an employee out to test the device.
Energy Services Engineer David Harris tested the Nevvus PowerGard on the home’s refrigerator, ceiling heat system and hot tub, all of which are notoriously power hungry, according to Jeff Nelson, SUB’s director of resource management.
“Assuming high usage for all of those devices, a customer might save 51 cents a year on the ceiling heat costs, 35 cents a year on a refrigerator and $2.14 per year on their hot tub,” Nelson said. The SUB customer was told that the PowerGards sell for $250 apiece, which means it would take a little more than 80 years to make back the cost of the PowerGard on the uses tested by SUB.
