I bought a mini refrigerator from Target back in January and for several months it worked great.
But earlier this week, it stopped working the "right" way.
There are two possible problems. The "wrrring" sound is the compressor (the black sort of round thing in back of the fridge). That is a good sign, it's working. However, the reed valves (long technical story) could be broke; bad, you need a new fridge.

Frigidaire, Maytag or Whirpool don't matter. The relay is sized and configured to the compressor.
I would first find out why the old one quit. Is the compressor still any good?
If you are going to put one on, anyway, go get a universal compressor

Of Virginia with a review I had heard that these "micro refrigerators" does not really keep food fresh, but I really need something for my lunch to work, because the food disappear often in the refrigerator of the community. The price was great, and I must say I'm really happy with this product. It's a bit noisy (it sounds like you are using a small fan) but you get used to it. It keeps my food cold. The first few weeks it was okay Then one day i turned it on cold, and it boiled my soup. I thought about just not using it after that, but since I spent money on it, I decided to give it another try. Thank god it was quiet in my office one morning, the plug began sparking and almost caught my office wall on fire. I'm no longer allowed to have a fridge because of this peice of crap.
