Customer Reviews:
  1. Great for study room
I really like iced apple juice, but the ice was melting before I ever finished my drink. I was going through apple juice like crazy, but never really drinking much of it. I bought this personal fridge to cut down on wasting apple juice (don't like it all watered down from melted ice). It works so...
  2. Works great, but time will tell if it gets a 5th star
This little "backup" fridge keeps 6 soda cans very cold. The look is pretty neat. My main quibble is with the latch mechanism. It's a little plastic thing that I'm afraid will break because it takes a little bit of guess work to figure out wither to pull or turn to open. (It turns.) It's...

Where can I get replacement parts for my Red Bull Mini Refrigerator?

I got one of these the other day and need to replace a few parts. It is a Cold Masters model CMV 50. It works fine and it's just cosmetic stuff that I would like to replace so that I could resale it if I decide that I don't want to keep it. Thanks...

You can either try to contact the company directly -- often they will be willing to sell you replacement parts. Or, you can post a request for certain parts that you need on sites like craigslist.org, refrigeratorpro.com, among others.

It may be better to pitch it out and purchase a more up to date fridge.

travel inventions we really need

A more reassuring sat nav

Whenever I use a sat nav, I get a horrible feeling after about 50km that I’ve keyed in the wrong address and I’m blindly going in the wrong direction. I’d like to see a more reassuring sat nav, one that knows you’re trusting it to get you where you’re going and rewards/compliments you on your travelling skills. Phrases it would say included, “Don’t stress, you are going the right way”, “Great route, that’s what I would have chosen” and when you miss a turning: “Oops, that was my fault, I wasn’t concentrating. No really, you‘re a great navigator. I just tend to wander sometimes...”

The anti-rustle plastic bag

Did you know that 50 per cent of all hostel injuries are caused by people throwing objects at other travellers who rummage noisily through their bags at night in dorm rooms?* With the invention of a non-noise-making bag, those staying in shared accommodation would be made to hand in all plastic bags and put all essential items into the new, rustle-free bags, much like we have to do with our liquids in airports. It’s a small sacrifice to make to get a good night’s sleep.
