Mini Refrigerator on carpet

Answers

can i sit a mini refrigerator on carpet? if not what can i place under?

Try an aluminum oven liner. You can get them at the grocery store near the foil. If that's not big enough try the auto parts store for a drip tray that is used under a car.

New home walk through problem?

Me and my wife are scheduled to close on our first house this Friday. Our walk through is tomorrow at 3 pm. I went by today just to check on things and I noticed we still don't have carpet on the entire 2nd floor, no stove, no refrigerator and no...

Your lender won't let you close without those items being done. They will also require the appraiser to go back for a final inspection to be certain they are there. Better find out your lender's time frame for that. The carpeting would bother me more than the appliances.

HEARD IN THE HALLS: Halloween has everyone looking over their shoulders

Those of us who remember HAL, the mutinous mainframe from “2001: A Space Odyssey” may be getting a little uncomfortable with how intelligent our computers are becoming, especially around this time of year.

One of the editors here had a moment of doubt when he lost electricity at his home in Norton on Tuesday afternoon. His computer emailed him that power was out and that it was shutting down abnormally.

Scarier would have been if the message said “I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.” (You have to say it like HAL for the full effect).

There are certain things you expect to find in a college student’s room: Weeks worth of dirty laundry, a mini-fridge packed with frozen pizza and maybe even a text book here or there.

And then there are things you don’t expect, such as a bronze plaque belonging to a town 60 miles off campus.

A Meadow of Grace: Don't cry over spilled milk?

So here we are on the beautiful island of Kauai for our honeymoon. It's beautiful here and our hotel room is so relaxing and wonderful with an amazing view of the ocean, the only thing is that our room STINKS! Seriously... Here is why... Kyle and I bought some milk and cereal to have for breakfast in the mornings. We figured out little mini hotel fridge would hold the milk and provide us with the ability to have a nice little up of cereal in the morning. Well the milk was placed on its side in the mini fridge and over night it leaked! It leaked so much it filled the bottom of that mini fridge and dripped And pudled onto the carpet. I noticed this in he morning but by that time it was too late. I did my best to clean it up but there was no hope. We came back later that afternoon and our beautiful room with freshly. Hanged white sheets and perfectly tucked white comforter smelled like a baby's old spit up towel....

Qoheleth meets the Academy

Yesterday evening I attended the President’s Reception at the Princeton Theological Seminary Alumni week. Earlier in the day I had a great time providing a response to Prof. Gordon Graham’s paper on Emile Cailliet and the role of the philosopher in the seminary. So now I was prepared to enjoy some appetizers out on the back lawn with a glass of wine and good conversation. Fortunately I enjoyed all three.

On the way out I had a conversation with the president of the seminary, Iain Torrance (son of T.F., nephew of James and cousin of Alan for all the theologians out there; the Torrances are to Scottish theology what the Kennedys are to American politics: a dynasty). President Torrance then asked me whether I would be interested in reviewing any books for the Scottish Journal of Theology and with that he ushered me into his grand office and pointed at a book shelf with perhaps a hundred pristine theology books hot (or warm) off the world’s leading academic presses, each waiting for review.
