I reveived this product in the mail in a timely manner packed up nicely as to prevent any damage from befalling it. As soon as i plugged it in the refrigerator started cooling off. It does make a small humming noise but with the hetic schedule of my lifde being in college I barely notice it in... -

I currently have an extra refrigerator being used in my basement. I'm thinking about getting rid of it and using two mini refrigerators in the two basement rooms that are actually used instead of using just the big one, which is practically empty...
I don't know about energy efficient but it seems to me that if you don't need a freezer, then two mini fridges would work just fine. If your use is only for cold drinks, it would seem to be a waste of money and space to buy a full size.

Dishwashing, it it is just you, it may be better to wash dishes by hand. You should only run the dishwasher if it is full. To save on water you can do the dishes once a day, probably after dinner.
