Perfect for college life
I have purchased this refrigerator 1 month ago and it's working perfectly so far. It suits my small dorm room and is so far great for a college student needs. However, its operation sound is a bit high. It can be annoying at times but that's normal I guess for most refrigerators.

I THINK one is an energy saver switch and the other a rapid pulldown or quick chill switch,bypassing the regular thermostat for a time.

Haier to Debut Overseas Dual-brand Strategy
QINGDAO, Nov 18, 2011 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Haier Group will firstly carry out its overseas dual-brand strategy in Japan and Southeast Asia next year, its global brand operation executive Zhang Tieyan said on November 18.
The transactions about the purchase of Sanyo Electric's white home appliance operations based in Japan will be formally completed on January 1, 2012. In mid-January 2012, Haier, one of the largest consumer electronics makers in China, plans to issue new products in Japan.
The transactions will be finished at the end of next March about the purchase of the Southeast Asia-based white home appliance business from Sanyo Electric. The Chinese company is set to release new products in Southeast Asia in April 2012.
Haier has entered into the Japanese market since ten years ago, and its sales in the country have reached JPY 10 billion, according to Zhang. After the launch of the dual-brand strategy in 2012, the Haier brand will focus on such products as delicate and simple refrigeratories and washing machines in Japan.
