Good product, but ergonomics could be better.
This is a well thought out item. It really fills in a need for those wanting to replace the factory stereo on a Ford Escort (1997+) The included wire harness is well labled & of good quality. The instructions are well thought out though I recommend that you read them ahead of time before the... -
Some useful notes about installing this...
I used this item in my 1998 Escort ZX2 with a factory 6 disc changer in the back. The installation of this product worked fairly well, however a few things are worth noting. Especially, if your Escort also has the 6 disc changer (which is rare). Disconnecting the temperature control cable....

I have a 2000 Buick Century, 3.1 liter. Last spring (so for two summers now) my a/c did not blow cold when I turned it on while starting out on a trip. All winter the defrost system worked just fine. The system would not take any freon when I...

My 11 year old central ac was working fine. Then the outside unit starting making very loud noises. I called a repair guy. He said it was the outside fan motor. He replaced that and said he needed to come back the next day to replace the...
You have a Freon leak. Call the repairman, tell him damage was done to one of your lines and demand to have the system tested with Nitrogen for a leak. Should it be outside, it's possible he stepped on or otherwise damaged the line and it needs to be repaired.

Finding value in Fall and Winter vehicle maintenance
What do you really need to do to your vehicle to get it ready for winter driving conditions.
Murray Coleman of Delta Automotive says the list can be long, but the work doesn't need to be costly.
• Tires —The tread needs to be deep enough and have exits for water. It needs to stay in contact with the road not, ride up on the water. Winter tires should be used in a set of four, and can be mounted on their own rims, saving a lot of money and hassle long term. Having the wheel/tire combo switched at a regular service should be free, as the wheels will already be off the car. The winter set of tires should last many years.
Maintain tire pressures. When temperatures drop, so does tire pressure. This affects traction, handling, fuel economy and safety. Remember too, slow down and allow a greater stopping distance.
• Lighting —Get in the habit of turning your lights on. Most cars these days automatically turn only the dash and headlights on (at a dimmer setting) when engine is running, but all the other lights on the exterior—front and rear park lights, front, side and rear marker lights—are all off unless you turn your lights on. Start your car one evening then just walk to the rear and see if your taillights are lit. Most people are surprised to find they have been driving at night with no tail lights. Remember, all these other lights are solely to make you more visible to the other vehicles, and our typical fall/winter weather means you are not that visible.
Appliance Parts Plus » Your Questions About Amana Appliance Parts

For starters your problem is that is an Amana *serial number*, NOT a model number.
You need to find the exact model number off the label on the refrigerator and then you will have more luck. Sometimes you have to hunt for it, even remove drawers to see it on the wall. On newer ones it is at the top front of the refrigerator. Bottom freezers tend to have it in the freezer so you have to get down on the floor.
You have to be able to stick your head in and look up to see it sometimes.
I think the Amana model numbers look something like AXD2425DEW. With letters, numbers, and letters.
Amana did ALSO use the serial number because they will make changes on the models during production and certain serial number ranges may differ. So you may need both.
Good luck....
Defrost Not Working On Rx 330 - Lexus Owners Club (USA & Canada)
Does the air seem to be coming out of the defrost vents when it's on defrost? If not, it's probably a problem with an actuator in the Heat/A/C/defrost system. If air is coming from the defrost vents, it may be a leaking heater core allowing the coolant to deposit on the WS. My bet would be actuator failure not allowing the defrost door to open. Even cold air will defrost a winshield, just not as fast as hot. The second way you can help yourself on this matter is to NEVER make use of the A/C (compressor) unless actual cabin cooling is needed. As of '01 there was a C-BEST option so that you could disable, indefinitely, the A/C compressor by simply switching off manually once. Later RXes, possibly yours, had another C-BEST options that prevented the system from switching automatically into "cooling", dash airflow, mode. In cooling mode there is no "warming" airflow to the windshield to keep the interior surface...
