Compact Refrigerator Heating Up On Sides, is that Normal?

We currently bought a GE 2 Door Compact Refrigerator at Wal-Mart for $124.00 and after setting it up and plugging it in, we noticed that the left and right side of this appliance was heating up. Is that normal?
